The Civil War Roundtable of St. Louis Goes Virtual (For Now)
September 23 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Board decided to use Zoom to conduct virtual meetings from September
2020 through January 2021. It will meet again in January to re-evaluate the situation and (hopefully) to decide to resume in-person meetings.
We recognize that there are some members who cannot access Zoom and we apologize to them. Perhaps they may be able to use a family member’s computer or mobile phone.
The meetings will start at 7:00 p.m. on September 23, October 28, December 2 and January27. The November meeting was moved back a week because the usual meeting date fall on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
All members will be given a link to the Zoom meeting a few days before it is scheduled. Feel free to share the link with persons you think might be interested in joining our Roundtable and want to see what the (virtual) meetings are like. We can accommodate up to 100 persons at the meeting, which should allow up to 15-20 guests.
Switching to virtual meetings requires some reshuffling of our speakers. As soon as this Fall’s speakers are set, we will let everyone know. It will give you a chance to come up with questions for the speaker ahead of time, which can either be emailed to email@example.com or sent via Zoom at the time of the event.
More details about the Board meeting are in the Report elsewhere on this site.
Also, if you haven’t already done so, please check out the new and revived (yes, it’s back!) Bushwhacker newsletter.
