How Balloons Were Used in the Civil War

April 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Our next speaker is Gordon Ramsey – no, not the guy who demolishes restaurants. Rather, he is Dr. Gordon Ramsey, a professor emeritus of physics at Loyola University Chicago. His professional research focuses on theoretical studies of spin-polarized particles. Yeah, I have no idea what that is, either. But he also specializes in Civil War balloons. And we all know what they were. He will provide an overview of how and why balloons were used in the Civil War on Wednesday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. Members, watch your email for the Zoom link. Guests are welcome. Send an email to stlcwrt@gmail.com for the link.
