Tue. May 23rd -- 11:30 AM - 1 PM -- MHC/MAC

America's oldest military ally

Led by Rev. Jean-Baptiste Commins

Luncheon Meeting

               Tuesday, May 23

Our May 23 meeting will focus on the recent military history of America’s oldest military ally, France.  Our speaker, Rev. Jean-Baptiste Commins, will draw on his experience as the son of a retired French Three Star General, nephew of a French Air Force nurse who received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Eisenhower for service at Dien Bien Phu, as well as brother of current members of the French Army and Navy engaged, among other things, in the war against terrorism. This meeting promises to provide us with an insight into the military role of a key ally.

Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. in the Veterans Room on the fourth floor downtown.    In the interest of time, our meetings will begin at high noon and end at 1:00 p.m.  Some of our meetings continue beyond 1:00 p.m. depending on the number of questions and the level of interest in the subject at hand.  Everyone should feel free to arrive and depart as your schedules permit.  New members and guests are always welcome. As has been the case in recent months, the fee for non-members is seven dollars.  For reservations, please contact Katie Maurer, Director of Special Events, at 314-539-4402 or  We look forward to having you with us on the 23rd
